Ada Lovelace Award Nominee Categories
While there are many roles that women fill throughout the tech industry, we can't possibly cover each one. We hope that you feel the categories below are a strong representation of the larger set.
Software engineers, developers, coders... call them what you will, these talented women follow in the footsteps of Ada Lovelace, the world's first computer programmer.
Whether they’re active in the trenches of their startup or lending their expertise to other ventures, these startup founders and CEOs drive our cities forward.
They help tech products come to life, bridging the gap between engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure that product and customer requirements are met.
These designers craft the experiences and interfaces that users interact with daily. Without their designs, our favorite apps wouldn’t exist.
Educators elevate and support the next generation of STEM talent, empowering young girls and other women seeking to enter technological fields.
These women have distinguished themselves as experts in customer acquisition, SEO, paid search, social media, analytics, and growth hacking.
Nomination rules & judging criteria:
The Ada Lovelace Awards recognize the accomplishments of women from across the Gulf South region, including Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Texas. Nominees must currently live in one of these six states.
While LookFar is the producer of the Ada Lovelace Awards, all nominations come from members of the community. Self-nominations will be disqualified.
Nominations will be judged based on 4 “pillars”: Impact, Leadership, Innovation, and Community. While many nominees are also active in other fields, nominations should be based on the nominee’s accomplishments in tech-related fields.
